Alliance Payphone, Inc. provides payphone service in the Western U.S.A. with top quality payphone equipment and a service response within 24 hours of reported trouble. The Americans with Disabilities Act, commonly referred to as the ADA, was enacted on July 26, 1990. The purpose of Title 111 of the Act, portions of which became effective on January 26, 1992, is to ensure that "no individual shall be discriminated against on the basis of disability in the full and equal enjoyment of the goods, services, facilities, privileges, advantages, or accommodations by any private entity who owns, leases (or leases to), or operates a place of public accommodation." Because the law imposes certain responsibilities on public telephone location providers that are places of public accommodation or commercial facilities. Alliance Payphone, Inc. will work with the location's specifications to meet ADA requirements. |
